Charitable Initiatives

Our charity initiatives are another way we make a difference.

Helping our wider community

Our employee run charity initiatives are a way of making a difference in the wider community. We strive to have an impact across the three pillars of sustainability: environmental, economic and social. Our vision for our charitable initiatives is to showcase the role businesses can play in enabling both a zero-carbon economy and socially responsible communities.

Charitable Initiatives

Our charity initiatives are another way we make a difference.

At Carbon Intelligence we have two primary charities that we support – SolarAid and Lymphoma Action. All the money we raise through our fundraising activities; bike rides, auctions, cake sales, and lots more, goes to these two fantastic charities. “We are so delighted to be working with Carbon Intelligence, who have already raised a fabulous £5000 for Lymphoma Action. We wish all the intrepid walkers involved in the Three Peaks Challenge the best of luck. All these donations help us ensure no one has to face their lymphoma alone.”
– Sarah Thorn, Lymphoma Action

Schools Project
Carbon Intelligence Schools Project: Since 2017, our people have given their time and expertise at Hayes School, a mixed comprehensive in the London Borough of Bromley, to provide staff and students with help to manage and reduce their environmental impact.
02
Ashden sustainability charity
Ashden is a charity that champions and supports sustainable energy innovators. Carbon Intelligence has partnered with Ashden to donate our consultants’ skills and expertise to support the charity in its work.
03
Fundraising
Members of our team organise a wide range of fundraising events for our chosen charities. Activities include bucket collections, cake sales and a Three Peaks Challenge – where twelve members of our team climbed the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales.
04
Volunteering
Our people volunteer their time and effort for a range of social and community projects. We have helped to create Brondesbury Park’s Energy Garden, the world’s first urban combined community energy and gardening project. We have volunteered at Food Cycle, supporting people who are hungry and lonely by serving tasty community meals. Team members have also volunteered for The Connection at St Martin’s, working to help homeless people in London.

Partnerships

Ashden

We have partnered with Ashden, a charity that champions and supports the leaders in sustainable energy to accelerate the transition to a zero-carbon world. Ashden’s LESS CO2 programme helps to create more sustainable schools and galvanise young people to join the movement for a low-carbon world. Carbon Intelligence is supporting Ashden to measure and verify the impact of its work to help UK schools to save energy, carbon and cost.

Hayes School

Our mission at Carbon Intelligence is to enable a zero-carbon economy. We believe that we can provide the most value to society by donating our skills and expertise to enable others in line with our mission. In 2017 we launched our Carbon Intelligence Schools Project, to donate our time and expertise to a UK school and its students to identify and implement opportunities for reducing emissions and costs. With help from our partners, Ashden, we have now selected Hayes School which one of our own employees attended.

Repowering London

The Energy Garden project is a partnership project delivered by Repowering London. Over recent years the Energy Garden team has supported communities across London to transform Overground platforms and stations into thriving gardens that incorporate on-site renewable energy. Carbon Intelligence has partnered with energy gardens on two projects, the first to create an energy garden at Brondesbury Park overground station and the second at Hayes School in Bromley.
